How many French lessons does it take to finish one level?
Well, it is always a tricky question as there are many variables in this equation. It depends mainly on the following factors: your motivation, language skills, commitment, the amount of lessons per week you take, and last, but not least the time you spend practicing and doing your homework. That is why only rough estimates are available.
Based on our experience and the opinion of experts and linguists (starting from a complete beginner level):
0 - A1 level: 30-40 lessons with a professional teacher, 40-50 hours of self study
A1 - A2 level: 60-70 lessons with a professional teacher, 50-60 hours of self study
A2 - B1 level: 90-100 lessons with a professional teacher, 80-90 hours of self study
B2, C1 and C2 level is mostly depending on the amount of hours of self study and the goal you have in mind such as professional purposes, enjoyment, etc..
